Dalur Fishing Lodge

Dalur Fishing Lodge is located on the dramatic Snæfellsnes Peninsula on the banks of the plentiful river of Straumfjarðará. In the summer months the Fishing Lodge is exclusively for Fuguveiði ´Fly fishing´. Guests can expect to fish wild Atlantic Salmon, Sea Trout and Arctic Char with around 400 salmon caught each season.

In the winter the lodge provides the perfect winter getaway with 5 bedrooms, chef's kitchen, roaring fireplace, lounge, hot tub and sauna. The view from the Fishing Lodge is unparalleled in Iceland with panoramic views over the babbling Straumfjarðará river and snow capped mountains.

Relax in the hot tub in the evening under the midnight sun (summer) or northern lights (winter). Suitable for friends or families looking for the ultimate off grid location. 

We do our bit: every Dalur guest receives a reusable water bottle and we encourage you to fill it up throughout your stay from the tap or even directly from the crystal clear glacial rivers nearby each villa.

All five bedrooms are set as twins each with an ensuite. There are a further two bedrooms and a shared bathroom behind the kitchen that can be used for staff.
